We discussed the fact that Pluto is not considered a planet, that it does not meet the definition of a planet because it is too small, it is now considered a dwarf planet. We discussed the location of the asteroid belt and how it separates the inner (rocky) planets from the outer (frozen/gas giant) planets.
Here is a picture we created in class that they put in their composition books.
We learned that pluto is a not consderered a planet #17
ReplyDeletei learned how long it takes the earth to go around the sun.#14
ReplyDeletePluto is not considered a planet anymore.#12
ReplyDeletei learned that we are the third planet away from the sun
ReplyDeleteI learned that our solar system has outer and inner planets.
ReplyDelete#10
I learned that Earth is the only planet that has water
ReplyDelete#18
ReplyDeleteI learned that the solar system has only 8 planets now because, pluto is not a planet anymore.#7
ReplyDeleteI learned that pluto is not considered as a planet anymore because its to small.#1
ReplyDeletei learned that in the middle of mars and jupiter is the astriod belt.#26
ReplyDeletei learned that uranus and neptune are the ones who are mainly called the icey planets
ReplyDeleteI learn that the planets are apart from each other by the astroid belt the first 4 planet are solid (rocky) the rest like jupiter, saturn, uranus, and neptune (gas giants) pluto is not a planet its a dwarf planet !!!!!!! :) #5
ReplyDeletethat there are 8 planets mercury, venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, and neptune jupiter is the biggest and the sun is not a planet#23
ReplyDeletei learned that there is a asteroid belt that divide one half of the planets and divide another part of the planets#25
ReplyDeleteI learned that pluto was a darwf planet , and that it wasn't in the solar system#13. #8
ReplyDeletei learned about how pluto is a dorph plaint #24
ReplyDeleteWhat I learned was that Pluto was considered a planet until 2006 I thought it was a planet ti"l 2007 and there might be human life on mars.#15
ReplyDelete#11 We learned about the solar system and how the astroid belt (a long belt of big rocks) separates the inner and outer planets.
ReplyDeleteI learned that solar system has 8 planets they are,Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus, and last but not least Neptune.
ReplyDeleteit would take 109 earths to go in front of the sun.#27
ReplyDeletei learned that uranus was the biggest planet. love #2
ReplyDeleteMy hypothesis was right Crest toothpaste fights the tea stains the best.#12
ReplyDeleteuranus and neptune are kind of the same size.tamiadews#9
ReplyDeletei learned in my science fair project is that foil keeps things colder.#25
ReplyDelete#1 my project was does bread mold faster moist or dry.
ReplyDeletei learned that there are 8 planets now that pluto is a dwarf planet because it is too small, earth has the most gravity out of all, earth and neptune are like the same size but we think that earth is bigger.neptune is known for it big red circle.saturn is known for all of its rings.#19
ReplyDeletei learn about planets that there are only 8 planets and pluto is not because pluto is so small. and i also learn about that the largest planets is jupiter and the asteroid belt that divide one half of the planets #3
ReplyDeletei learned that the sun is 4.6 billion pounds .AND I LEARNED THAT JUPITER IS THE BIGEST PLANT.#20 i learned that science really matters.
